Museum's Annual Fund Drive
Founded in 1989 by a group of community members anxious to preserve the rich and wonderful history of the Lowell area, the Lowell Area Historical Museum’s guiding mission is: “to enrich, delight and inspire the public through the presentation and preservation of the Lowell area history”.

The Museum has been very enthusiastically received and supported by the community and has welcomed thousands of visitors since it opened.  Through its “Keeping History Alive” programs and exhibits, the Museum takes a very active role in developing and implementing innovative programs that “enrich, delight and inspire our community and visitors” with our rich culture and heritage.

The Museum is home to more than 25,000 photographs and artifacts that have been donated by area residents.  This number continues to grow weekly, which represents a true investment by our community in the preservation or our rich and wonderful history.
The Museum is open Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays 1-4pm and by appointment.
The Fur Trade Cabin in Lowell Township North will be open June-August from 1-3:00pm.
